WHY I LIKE ROCKFAST

I am the Payroll Officer from Canberra Grammar School. I pay around 360 each fortnight, the school has used Rockfast since 2004.

I have worked in payroll for 10 years, and I have worked at Canberra Grammar since July 2015. My previous payroll experience was with Kronos Paymaster, Zavanti Payroll and SageMicropay. I had one month training with the retiring payroll officer when I started at CGS, and then felt confident to operate the software alone.

Phone support from the Rockfast staff is always available, and they are always friendly and helpful, able to provide guidance and answer questions. Regular training sessions held at the Sydney office are informative and reassuring.

I found the Rockfast software to be very simple to learn and easy to operate and the best payroll software I have used. It is a versatile, flexible, logical and user friendly program. Leave accruals work perfectly if the correct information is entered, pay transactions are simple and easy to adjust. Reporting is flexible and easy to tailor to provide the information required. Filters can be applied in most areas to assist with transactions and reporting, pay finalising and EFT transfer to the bank work very smoothly. End of financial year procedures are simple and easy to follow.

The employee termination wizard makes processing an employees’ final pay easy and a final report and separation certificate can be produced at the same time.

Reports produced from within Rockfast are very flexible and can be tailored to include components to individuallly suit an organisation and to provide the required information. Audit logs within employee profiles assist when checking on historical changes.

Recently I used the Superstream Gateway for the first time and was extremely pleased and surprised how simple and quick this made the monthly super payment to funds.

We are about to start using The Pay Office module to streamline time sheet processing and leave applications. Within this module personal detail changes, leave and timesheets are entered by employees, approved by managers and synced with Rockfast pay transactions by the payroll staff.
