Brainstorm Productions is Australia’s largest in-school touring theatre company, performing to over 350,000 primary and high school students every year. Established in 1983, Brainstorm Productions tours over 1,700 shows annually that tackle a range of issues affecting Australian students including bullying, cyber bullying, violence, under-age drinking, depression, eating disorders, family separation and discrimination.

MISSION:

Brainstorm Productions aim is to reduce the incidences of bullying in schools and improve student behaviour and wellbeing. Using real-life scenarios, Brainstorm Productions anti-bullying, cyberbullying and wellbeing programs use live theatre to connect with students and enact change including:

• Reduce the incidences of bullying in schools

• Provide support and guidance for students experiencing bullying and cyber bullying

• Help students develop a greater understanding of cyber safety

• Provide students with the tools and confidence to support their friends and peers

• Aid in the improvement of student mental health and wellbeing

• Foster positive relationships at school, at home and in the community

Highly recommended! Relevant and up to date. Students really empathised with the characters and scenarios. Excellent Q & A that engaged the students in sensitive topics and important content with humour . Actors were friendly, approachable, organised, punctual and passionate about their message. Supports our Anti bullying and Cyber Safety, Pastoral Care, English, Drama and Humanities curriculum. 10/10.

Very positive response from students, they learnt not to fight, but to walk away and keep their hands in their pockets. The script, upbeat pace of the show, music and gymnastics captivated the children without taking away from the overall message of the show ie how to deal with anger. Supports our You Can Do it program, anti-bullying policy and student wellbeing.
